Track 1.5: Emerging Asia

“Emerging Asia,” a Track 1.5 conference organized by the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER), Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS), and supported by the Public Diplomacy Division of the Ministry of External Affairs is being February 19 at the India International Centre, New Delhi.

Ambassador HK Singh of ICRIER and Ambassador Karl F. Inderfurth of CSIS set the tone for the conference by underlining the importance of the Asia-Pacific region. In his opening address, Amb. Pinak Ranjan Chakravarty, Secretary (Economic Relations), MEA, stressed that sharing of views and exchanging experiences is crucial in understanding the dynamics of the region, and hoped the Conference would come up with insightful recommendations.

Pramit Pal Chaudhuri speaks on the 3.30 pm panel with DAS Alyssa Ayres on “Energy, Education, Science, Health and the Environment.” He also speaks with Mr. Ted Osius at 4.15pm on India’s Look East Policy.
