Senior Analyst – China Projects
Rhodium Group is recruiting a Senior Analyst to join the company’s China Projects team. The preferred location is Rhodium’s Washington, DC or New York office.
Position Description
Rhodium Group is looking for an entrepreneurial and talented Senior Analyst to join our world-class team of economists, policy analysts, researchers, and data engineers. As a Senior Analyst on Rhodium’s China Team, you will design, conduct, and oversee the execution of rigorous economic and policy analysis on issues related to China’s economy and policies, including trade, industrial policy, and China’s economic relationship with the EU, the US, and countries in the Indo-Pacific.
Position Responsibilities
- Create end-to-end project plan and execute that plan with guidance from senior staff.
- Work with senior staff to strategically balance investment in new capabilities vs. project execution.
- Understand Rhodium and client-wide objectives and adapt project design to meet these goals.
- Engage with clients directly if needed, and if applicable, talk to the media and present at conferences.
Qualifications
Attractive candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Master’s degree in economics, political science, Asian studies, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a related field.
- Advanced and demonstrated knowledge of China’s domestic economy and its global impact, with a particular focus on the fundamentals of the economic system, structural reform trajectory, trade policies and practices, and industrial policy.
- Advanced and demonstrated research, analytical, and evaluative skills, including the ability to synthesize and analyze large amounts of information and data. Proven ability to communicate complex concepts to non-specialized audiences.
- Experience leading ad hoc teams in project work, establishing milestones and timelines, managing workflow, and performing quality control (non-supervisory).
Location and Travel Requirements
- The preferred location for this role is Rhodium’s Washington D.C. or New York office
- Occasional domestic travel (<5%)

Rhodium Group compensates based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our range may also be determined by factors including, but not limited to, your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as geographic location, performance, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, internal equity, alignment with market data, and business or organizational needs. Typically, a Senior Analyst joins at $97,850. You will also have an additional 15% bonus target based on a combination of company and individual performance.
