US Energy Revolution: Implications for US and European Competitiveness

Location:

Chatham House

Trevor Houser will discuss the implications of the US energy revolution on European and American competitiveness. He will share his insights into pertinent issues such as what the economic advantages are for the US, whether the revolution puts European competitiveness at a disadvantage, and what this revolution means, more broadly, for competitiveness.

This event is one of ten breakfast roundtables hosted by the Chatham House US Programme. The US Programme at Chatham House, with the generous support of Bank of America Merrill Lynch, launched its breakfast roundtable series to allow senior officials from the business, media, government, academic and think-tank sectors from Europe and the US to explore common economic challenges under the Chatham House Rule. Over the course of ten breakfast meetings, we will debate some of the principal global economic challenges that we face today and the potentially differing perspectives from the two regions.
