REPORT RELEASE – EVENT DETAILS:

TIME: 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. (Networking reception from 6pm)
LOCATION: Asia Society – 725 Park Ave New York, NY

It’s one of the most important trends of our time: China’s direct investment in the United States. To some, it’s a harbinger of a new U.S.-China cooperation; to others, it is less welcome, perceived much the way Japanese investment was here 30 years ago.

As outbound investment strategies of Chinese firms shift to more advanced, innovation-intensive industries, a rapidly increasing share is going to U.S. high-tech — IT, clean-tech, biotech, advanced transportation, and more. What are the hottest sectors drawing the most Chinese investment? Which Chinese firms are leading the push and what is driving them? What are the economic and political factors behind these investments, and what are the most serious challenges they face?

Please join the Asia Society and Rhodium Group for the launch of a new report, presented by Rhodium Group founder Daniel H. Rosen and Thilo Hanemann on the Chinese investment surge in U.S. high tech. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion which brings leaders in the tech and investment fields to discuss recent developments.
