After Merkel: Berlin and Beijing

How could the German election shape Germany’s foreign policy, and the EU’s approach to China? This event will be hosted by Tom Tugendhat MP.

• Janka Oertel is the Director of the Asia Programme at the European Council on Foreign Relations.
• Noah Barkin is a senior visiting fellow in the Asia Program based in Berlin. He specializes in Europe’s relationship with China and the implications of China’s rise for the transatlantic relationship. Noah is also managing editor in the China practice at Rhodium Group.
• Constanze Stelzenmüller is an expert on German, European, and trans-Atlantic foreign and security policy and strategy. She is the inaugural holder of the Fritz Stern Chair on Germany and trans-Atlantic Relations in the Center on the United States and Europe at Brookings
