Nicholas Consonery Joins Rhodium Group as Director

Rhodium Group appoints Nicholas "Nick" Consonery as Director, with the firm's China macroeconomic and special projects team, effective immediately

Previously Nick served at FTI Consulting, where he was the firm’s senior director on Asia political risk and helped to build a political and country risk advisory service. Prior to that, Nick served in senior roles related to China analysis and consulting at Eurasia Group from 2008-2016, culminating with his appointment as director there in 2014.

Nick’s highly regarded insights on China’s economy, political system, investment environment, and financial sector, as well as his perspective on US-China relations, complement Rhodium’s policy research expertise and bring additional experience to support clients. Nick will draw from this range of capabilities to manage Rhodium’s China macro research and project team. A key part of his focus will be to expand Rhodium’s advisory services offerings. He will be based in New York City.

Daniel Rosen, Rhodium’s co-founder and China Practice partner, said, “Our friend and colleague Nick Consonery is the perfect person to deepen our broad research agenda on China’s economic dynamics and the political economy dynamics which shape them. Rhodium Group’s contributions to analysis of China’s economic footprint are expanding, and Nick will play a key role in this growth. His experience and seasoned insights are huge additions to our capabilities.”

In joining, Nick said, “Rhodium Group has established a unique reputation for analysis and for developing independent, high-value insights which are compelling to business and policy leaders alike in the United States, China and elsewhere. I am so excited to join the team and I look forward to helping build the research capabilities, the business and the service we provide to private- and public-sector clients.”
