Nargiza Salidjanova joins Rhodium Group as Director with the China Practice

Nargiza will lead Rhodium’s China Projects team, managing the firm’s wide-ranging research on China’s economy and its global interactions.

Rhodium Group is pleased to welcome Nargiza Salidjanova as Director of our China Projects team. In this role, she will lead the firm’s major cross-cutting initiatives looking at China’s economy and its evolving relationship with economies around the world.

Nargiza’s past research has focused on the impact of China’s economic model, growth, statecraft, and technology development. She has published on a broad range of topics, including strategic competition, China’s role in global governance, and the alignment of commerce and national security concerns. Previously, Nargiza was Director for Economics and Trade with the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission, a congressional advisory body. She holds a Master’s degree in international economic policy, with a concentration on China, from American University. She is based in Washington, DC.

Rhodium Group’s China practice conducts public and private longer form research on its own initiative and with clients and partners from the philanthropic, think tank, government, and commercial sectors. The team is recognized for its analysis of China’s domestic economic development and its consequences for the nation’s position in the global economy and relations with major economies. Underpinning the team’s integrated perspective are best-of-class research programs on China’s development model and its performance, economic statecraft, technology and industry policy designs, and global financial footprint. Nargiza will manage the buildout of new capabilities on China’s low carbon transition and other critical topics.
