Prior to joining Rhodium Group, Emma was a graduate research fellow in the Geography Department at the University of Utah, where she defended her dissertation in August 2025. Her graduate research used satellite remote sensing data to study recent glacier variability in High Mountain Asia and included the development of educational resources for working with earth observation data using open-source tools. Emma also holds a M.S. degree from the University of Utah and a B.A. degree from Colorado College.
