Rhodium Group recently published a research note analysing European (EU+UK) FDI in China to assess the current state of investment on the ground, and shed light on how it has evolved over the past decade – please find the note here. According to the research, one of the core trends in European FDI to China in recent years is that the overwhelming majority of European investment in the country now comes from just a handful of companies. In addition, European investments in China are now focused on a smaller number of sectors, among them autos, food processing, pharma/biotech, chemicals and consumer products manufacturing. These sectors now make up nearly 70% of all FDI.

To obtain an up-to-date and comprehensive understanding of European FDI in China, the European Chamber of Commerce in China cordially invites you to attend a webinar where Ms Agatha Kratz, Director, and Mr Noah Barkin, Managing Editor, in Rhodium Group’s China practice, will present the key findings from their report and discuss the outlook for European direct investment in China.
